Supply Chain Logistics Specialist

Location: LaVergne, TN, 37086

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for booking, tracking, and tracing international and domestic shipments.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate import and export transportation for Sinomax East.
2. Review and ensure accuracy of shipping documents sent by vendors; enter container, shipment details, freight, and duty charges into the ERP system.
3. Monitor the entire cargo movement process; coordinate with forwarders, truckers, and warehouse personnel to schedule deliveries; resolve issues such as customs holds or damages.
4. Update container departure, arrival, delivery, and empty return dates daily.
5. Pay Traffic Mitigation (TMF) fees for containers through Pier-Pass.
6. Schedule domestic transfers, pickups, transloads, or expedited transportation as needed.
7. Review freight costs and transportation rates; identify issues and seek solutions to reduce costs.
8. Prepare accurate container reports for management.
9. Track and trace air shipments to ensure smooth delivery; resolve issues like customs clearance holds or missing packages.
10. Review ocean and air freight invoices from forwarders and approve payments.
11. Arrange export transportation and prepare shipping documents.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of international and domestic logistics experience.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
• Basic knowledge of customs clearance processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills, data analysis ability, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; team player.
• Effective time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Four-year degree in supply chain, logistics, planning, or equivalent experience.
