Job summary

ZF Axle Drives Marysville, LLC is offering a Supply Chain and Logistics Intern position in Marysville, MI. You will work with Master Schedulers, Material Planners, and Shipping/Receiving teams to support production planning, scheduling, inventory, and logistics across multiple modes.

The role provides hands-on exposure to supply chain operations, collaboration with production, finance, quality, safety, purchasing, and BI reporting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required and currently enrolled in college.
• Strong computer skills; proficient in MS-Office Suite with MS Excel in macros and formulas.
• Must be quality oriented and detail-focused.
• Must be self-motivated with ability to prioritize and take direction from multiple sources.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and work well in a team.
• Must be available to work overtime on days/weekends when necessary.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or automotive environment preferred.
• BI tools experience to analyze data and generate insights preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize SAP to support production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Assist Material Planners and Master Schedulers in coordinating truck, rail, ocean, air, and premium freight logistics.
• Request, coordinate, and track domestic and international transportation shipments.
• Use carrier websites, reports and logistics data to monitor shipment status and performance.
• Track and analyze carrier performance using KPIs and operational metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs across the supply chain.
• Support material scheduling, packaging planning, and material flow optimization; assist in dock scheduling software implementation.
• Lead premium freight reporting and assist in Power BI dashboard development.
