Job summary

ZF Axle Drives Marysville, LLC. in Marysville, MI has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst Intern. This role targets current students or recent graduates with limited experience and offers practical exposure to month-end close tasks, journal entries, and reconciliations.

The intern will perform financial analysis, cycle-count audits, purchasing workflows, AR processing, and reporting in a manufacturing environment. Hybrid work is required (3 days in office, 2 days from home).

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or information system required.
• Must be able to work at least 30 hours per week in a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
• Excellent computer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; SAP experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis of varied data to support finance department and plant.
• Perform inventory cycle count audits including looking for process improvements.
• Participate in month end closing tasks including preparing journal entries, calculating accruals, performing order settlement process, creating headcount/attendance reporting, extracting system data, preparing census reporting.
• Coding invoice workflows received from Accounts Payable.
• Processing of Accounts Receivable debits by coordinating approvals and preparing vendor reconciliations.
• Maintain Accounting information in Material Management for spare parts department.
• Reconcile scrap material tickets received and prepare scrap sales order for posting.
• Retrieve details from customer portal and reconcile with Accounts Receivable posting to prepare pass through entries.
