Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Manager Trainee in Wisconsin to learn the management of a small driver count and non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends.

You will ensure safe, timely freight movement, load assignments, and best-in-class customer service while training for DOT compliance. Responsibilities include driver relations, fleet optimization, training, and on-site reporting, with opportunities for regional relocation and advancement within a Fortune 500 transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR HS diploma with 1 year of management/Logistics/transport experience.
• Willingness to travel to account locations.
• Ability to work nights and weekends if needed.
• Willingness to regionally relocate based on account assignment.
• Experience managing a team (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Learn to build positive relationships with drivers and carriers to ensure smooth carrier setup and productivity.
• Fill in for absent staff and assist with special projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability.
• Assist with driver training, orientation, and internal/customer systems.
• Plan and monitor freight movement, provide on-site reporting and financial analysis.
• Learn to manage yard operations, maintenance coordination, and safety compliance.
• Assist with payroll, Net Revenue budgeting, invoicing, and reporting.
• Resolve service issues and plan loads to meet customer requirements.
