Job summary

BD’s Supply Chain Development Program Internship offers 10‑12 week assignments in NASC (North American Supply Chain) across areas like Demand Planning, Order Management, Transportation, Distribution Operations, and Inventory Optimization. Primary location is USA NJ - Franklin Lakes with on-site work expectations and potential travel to distribution centers.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a BS in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Operations Management and completion of the Junior Year by June.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• General knowledge of supply chain management theory.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction as to duration.

Responsibilities

• Work with Integrated Supply Chain leaders and managers to discover opportunities to improve overall supply chain operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Assist in the development and implementation of specific projects to achieve the identified improvement opportunities.
• Provide supply chain performance visibility to Supply Chain Leadership to enable continuous improvement through metric reviews, analytics, root cause investigation, and corrective action identification.
• Collect, check for accuracy, and analyze quantitative and qualitative Supply Chain performance data; prepare internal scorecards and reports; analyze performance trends; perform diagnostics to identify potential causes of performance deterioration or improvement; identify potential corrective actions and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and present findings to Supply Chain Leadership; gain alignment on corrective action and /or continuous improvement activities.
• Special project work as assigned.
