Air Fayre is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Jr. Cost Analyst in Gardena, CA to support cost data integrity, vendor pricing, and foundational reporting. You will collaborate with supply chain, finance, and operations to maintain master price records and support RFQ processing.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, finance, data entry, auditing, or a related role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Experience in fast-paced logistics, airline catering, or food-services environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of inventory control, safety stock, and demand planning.
• Strong analytical, data-driven, and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate RFQ template distribution to suppliers and log quotes for senior review.
• Maintain supplier cost structures (labor, overhead, margin) in Scorpio MRP.
• Upload contracts and pricing updates into Scorpio after monthly airline forecast loads.
• Compare submitted prices with airline reports to verify prices, dates, and codes.
• Update Master Price List tracking log with dates and approval statuses.
• Monitor airline reports for discrepancies and compile monthly exception lists.
• Enter and cross-reference item/code structures to support demand forecasting.
• Attend customer menu presentations; document details and verify specs.
• Run MRP reports and learn airline data structures (TP006 reports).
• Gather baseline data and assist with impact analyses and ad-hoc requests.

Mission of role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Supply Chain Jr. Cost Analyst to support cost-data integrity, vendor pricing administration, and foundational supply chain reporting. This role helps protect company revenue by maintaining accurate pricing information, auditing airline and supplier data, flagging discrepancies, and supporting demand-forecasting activities.

You’ll work closely with supply chain, finance, operations, suppliers, and airline customers to maintain master price records, support RFQ processing, verify system entries, and produce reliable information for senior analysts and business leaders.

Functions and Responsibilities

• Coordinate the distribution of Request for Quote (RFQ) templates to suppliers and log returned vendor quotes for senior review.
• Maintain approved supplier cost structures, including labor, overhead, and margin data, in the Scorpio MRP system.
• Upload approved contracts and master pricing updates into Scorpio following monthly airline forecast loads.
• Compare submitted prices with airline system reports, including UAL and AA TP100, TP102, and TP144 reports, to verify prices, effective dates, and codes.
• Update the Master Price List tracking log with submission dates, effective dates, and customer approval statuses.

• Monitor airline reports for zero-cost codes, pending approvals, and other invoicing discrepancies; compile a monthly exception list for senior analyst review.
• Enter and cross-reference item and code structures in Scorpio to support accurate demand forecasting.
• Attend customer menu presentations, document key details, verify physical specifications against supporting documentation, and assist with preparatory data gathering.
• Run routine Material Requirements Planning reports and build familiarity with airline data structures, including TP006 reports, variations, and packets.
• Gather baseline data and assist senior analysts with initial calculations for impact analyses, substitution costs, and other ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, finance, data entry, auditing, or a related role.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous exposure to a fast-paced logistics, assembly, airline catering, or food-services environment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of inventory control, safety stock, demand planning, and how goods move through a supply chain.
• Strong analytical, data-driven, and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to investigate unusual cost or inventory movements.
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, follow through on assignments, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with MRP or ERP systems; familiarity with Scorpio is a plus.
• Ability to learn complex systems quickly and maintain accurate, well-organized records.
• Personable, responsible, and flexible regarding work schedules and hours in a 24/7 operation.
