Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Logansport, IN is seeking a Full-time Supply Chain Associate to manage branch inventory, handle procurement and quoting, and support customer supply chain needs. The role may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding and performance goals are met.

The position requires a valid driver's license, strong communication, computer skills, and a customer-service orientation. Lifting up to 75 lbs and driving company deliveries may be part of the duties.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a current full valid driver's license with ability to use company vehicle
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR have customer service or industry related work experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs up to 75lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam)

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions including purchase orders and backorder management
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
