Job summary

Fastenal Co. seeks a Full-time Supply Chain Associate in Duluth, MN to manage branch inventory and support B2B operations. You’ll handle procurement, quoting, sourcing, and coordinating resources to meet customer needs.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, strong communication, math aptitude, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach. On-site with potential schedule flexibility after onboarding and performance goals.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record for company vehicle use.
• Pursuing or holding a degree in business, supply chain, operations, management, marketing, sales or related field, or have customer service/industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer-service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
• Adheres to Fastenal’s core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Able to lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs, up to 75lbs.
• Pass drug screen where required in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam.

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels.
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management.
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product.
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.
• Supporting accounts receivable activities.
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary.
• Performing other duties to ensure branch success.
