Job summary

Fastenal is hiring a Part-time Supply Chain Associate for our Greenwood, IN branch. The role focuses on inventory management, procurement, sourcing, and quoting to support B2B customers and their operations. Flexibility exists after onboarding to adjust schedule as needed.

Primary duties include managing inventory, PO/backorder handling, pricing estimates, and coordinating resources to meet customer needs. Requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving record requirements.
• Pursuing or hold a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR relevant experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Demonstrate strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages up to 75lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels.
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management.
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product.
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.
• Supporting accounts receivable activities.
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary.
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success.
