Fastenal Co. in Michigan City, IN is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate to help manage inventory and support B2B operations. You will administer procurement, sourcing, and quoting to meet customer needs and drive branch performance.

This role is at 2711 E Michigan Blvd, with potential schedule flexibility after onboarding. Based at the branch, candidates must have a valid driver’s license, strong math, communication and organizational skills, and be able to lift up to 75 lbs; occasional

Formación

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record to use a company vehicle.
• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR customer service/industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages 25lbs-50lbs, up to 75lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (US/PR/Guam).

Responsabilidades

• Managing branch inventory levels.
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management.
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product.
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.
• Supporting accounts receivable activities.
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary.
• Performing other duties to ensure branch success.
