Position Title: Supply Chain Inventory Specialist
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Position Overview: The Supply Chain Inventory Specialist will manage the inventory in support of the Alkali business at our external transload locations, warehouses, and packagers. The specialist will learn and develop skills in the areas of inventory management, railcar tracking and trace, relationship management, customer service, and cost management by assisting execution of multi modal distribution and inventory strategies. The candidate must be well-disciplined, analytical, able to manage multiple activities at the same time and have vision around supply chain routing and logistics. The individual must be a team player, focused on customer service and willing to learn all aspects of our business supply chain.
Key Responsibilities & Activities:
Inventory Management
• Truck tendering; obtain truck rates when required
• Railcar shipments
• Railcar Track and Trace
• Inventory reconciliation and balancing
• Facilitation of product shipment (SAP data entry, filing, Rail shipment planning, Reporting)
• Confirm and balance inventory at location to inventory in SAP
• Communicate with third party locations to provide documents for shipment planning and executing
Customer and Service Provider Interaction
• Process customer requirements to railcar / trucks, product quality, and delivery
• Generate Bill of Lading and Certificate of Analysis
• Maintain shipping records
• Communicate with customers and Customer Service concerning shipment / delivery issues
• Invoice Processing including the verification of invoices versus contract and processing invoices for payment
General
• Follow all company policies/procedures
• Safety focused
• Off hours coverage as needed
• Provide backfill and coverage as needed

Skills, Capability, and Educational Requirements:
• 3-5 years’ experience in supply chain, inventory management or customer service
• Railcar Fleet management preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Customer focus
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent preferred
• Proven analytical capabilities preferred
• Computer/System proficient preferred
