Job summary

PING, Inc. is offering a summer Supply Chain Internship in Phoenix to provide hands-on exposure to Procurement, Logistics and Planning. You will work on data analysis projects and develop tools to aid decision making.

Targeting Supply Chain majors with strong Excel and Power BI skills, the role requires on-site presence for at least 8 weeks. Projects involve reporting, AI/ML experimentation, and presenting findings to management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years coursework in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Expertise in Excel and/or Statistical Analysis.
• Knowledge of Power BI/similar tools preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, self-start, and hit deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects.
• Ability to make presentations to Management.

Responsibilities

• Generate Reporting/Analysis using Power BI to help Supply Chain personnel analyze the business.
• Research and test AI/machine learning solutions in collaboration with AI Center of Excellence.
• Support procurement, logistics, and planning with data analysis and tool development.
• Present project findings and recommended next steps to Management.
• Assist with onboarding and execution of internship projects as assigned.

Description

PING, Inc., maker of PING golf equipment, is seeking a Supply Chain Intern for the summer that will gain exposure to each of the departments within Supply Chain (Procurement, Logistics, and Planning). Projects will be assigned requiring data analysis along with information gathering from various sources and developing tools to assist Supply Chain personnel with enhanced decision making. Targeting Supply Chain majors.

Prospective projects include:

Generate Reporting/Analysis, usingtools such asPower BI, to help Supply Chain personnel more efficiently analyze the business.

Research and test AI/machine learningsolutions,in collaboration with our AI Center of Excellence.

Other projects to be assigned as needed.

Learning Outcomes:

Exposure to the daily work activity conducted within Supply Chain (Procurement, Logistics, and Planning).

Project assignments associated with conducting/organizing data analysis into a usable format that can be utilized by Supply Chain personnel to enhance decision-making.

For each project completed, Intern will be expected to present to relevant Supply Chain Management project findings with recommended solutions or next steps.

Intern will also present final project details to company-wide personnel in an Intern project showcase attended by all company departments.

Training Intern will receive:

How to break down a project into logical working steps.

How to effectively find information through people (asking thoughtful questions) and company resources (tools).

How to effectively prepare/present information to Management that delivers a tangible result.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years coursework in Supply Chain Management or related field.

Additional Information:

• You must be willing to dedicate at least 8 weeks (40 hours per week) to the internship
• This internship requires you to be onsite in Phoenix, Arizona
