PING's Engineering team invites students to join our Pickleball Product Development internship in Phoenix, supporting the design, manufacturing, and testing of high-performance paddles. You will work on CAD design, develop engineering models, build test equipment, analyze data, and collaborate with engineers, technicians, and suppliers.

Onsite in Phoenix, 8 weeks, 40 hours per week, minimum two years of college coursework.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing degrees in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Physics, Biomechanics or related technical disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with foundation in math and physics.
  • Commitment to spend 8 weeks (40 hours/week) onsite in Phoenix.

Brief Description

Join PING’s Engineering team for an exciting summer internship supporting our Pickleball Product Development team, responsible for the innovation, design, manufacturing, and testing of high-performance pickleball paddles and related products. At PING, interns gain hands‑on experience solving real engineering challenges in a collaborative and fast‑paced environment. You will contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact product performance and help players perform at their best.

We are seeking students pursuing degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Biomechanics, or related technical disciplines. Successful candidates will possess strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, a solid foundation in math and physics, and a passion for product development.

  • Designing components, fixtures, and prototypes using CAD

  • Collecting and analyzing laboratory and player testing data

Additional Information
  • A minimum of 2 years of college coursework must be completed before the internship begins
  • You must be willing to dedicate at least 8 weeks (40 hours per week) to the internship
  • The internship requires you to be onsite in Phoenix, Arizona

Applicants will be matched to projects based on their skills, interests, and the needs of the Pickleball Product Development team.
