Job summary

PING is seeking a summer internship in 2027 to support the Compliance team with data collection, analysis, and management for sustainability and regulatory initiatives. The intern will help with EPR, PPWR, and regulatory reporting while developing data pipelines and ETL processes.

The role requires at least two years of college coursework, strong Excel/Power BI skills, and the ability to work on-site in Phoenix, AZ for 8 weeks (40 hours/week). Enthusiasm for AI tools is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Two years of accredited math or science coursework completed.
  • Be onsite in Phoenix, Arizona for 8 weeks (40 hours per week).
  • Strong data analysis and visualization using Excel and Power BI; R is a plus.
  • Experience with structured datasets; SQL Server/Azure SQL preferred.
  • Data preparation, ETL; Python a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft tools and Power Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Support Compliance team in collecting, analyzing, and managing data for packaging sustainability and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with EPR, EU PPWR, packaging data analysis, regulatory research, and compliance reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvement within the compliance function.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into actionable compliance activities.
  • Research and monitor regulatory developments related to packaging data.

PING is currently seeking students who have a combined passion fordata, sustainability, compliance, and the game of golf. An opportunity exists to join ourCompliance teamfor a summer internship in 2027. This position requires the candidate to reside in thePhoenix Metro Area.

High-level job duties include supporting the Compliance team incollecting, analyzing, and managing datato support packaging sustainability and regulatory compliance initiatives. The intern will assist withExtended Producer Responsibility (EPR), EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), packaging data analysis, regulatory research, compliance reporting, and process improvement. Minimum qualifications include 2 years of accredited math or science coursework combined with general experience in and knowledge of golf.

Specific skills required for this internship are listed below:

  • Strong data analysis and visualization skills, particularly usingExcel and Power BI. Experience with R is a plus.
  • Experience working with and managing structured datasets; familiarity withSQL Server and/or Azure SQLis preferred.
  • Experience withdata preparation, data pipelines, and ETL processes; knowledge of Python is a plus.
  • Strong familiarity withMicrosoft tools, particularly Excel and SharePoint.
  • Experience with theMicrosoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps, is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding packaging materials, recyclability, recycled content, packaging data, and EPR reporting requirementsis a plus.
  • Strongresearch, analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable compliance activities.
  • Enthusiastic about AI and eager to explore its applications (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and other large language models)

Additional Information:

  • A minimum of 2 years of college coursework must be completed by the time you begin your internship
  • You must be willing to dedicate at least 8 weeks (40 hours per week) to the internship
  • This internship requires you to be onsite in Phoenix, Arizona
