Job summary

Orlando Utilities Commission offers an Emerging Talent Internship focusing on inventory and supply chain tasks. You will work with suppliers, maintain ERP catalogs, and support KPI tracking in a hybrid schedule.

The program seeks students with strong academic performance in business, supply chain, or industrial engineering, and a willingness to learn quickly. Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S., with GPA 3.0+ and prior internship preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
• Academic status of Sophomore, Junior or Senior.
• Program of study: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the time of application.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Previous internship experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Communicate with external suppliers to obtain updated supply data.
• Maintain supplier catalogs in the ERP system, including pricing and units of measure.
• Assist in maintaining the electronic scrap revenue database.
• Update and review established metrics and KPIs.
• Transition new inventory items from major purchases into the ERP system.
• Assist in updating item records with accurate data.

Job description

You will be involved in:

• Communicating with external suppliers to obtain updated supply data.
• Maintaining supplier catalogs within the ERP system, including pricing and units of measure, to ensure an accurate material ordering process.
• Assist in maintaining the electronic scrap revenue database to track related information.
• Update and review established metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Transition new inventory items obtained through major purchases into the ERP system.
• Assist the Inventory Control Analyst in updating item records with accurate data.

Internship Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
• Academic status of Sophomore, Junior or Senior.
• Program of study: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the time of application.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Previous internship experience preferred

• Strong academic foundation in Logistics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Inventory Management or Buying.

Compensation: $15.50 per hour, varies depending on the education level

Schedule: Part-Time (up to 25 hours per week) from January 11th, 2027 to May 7th, 2027 following a Hybrid Schedule
