Relate Search has been retained by a growing industrial manufacturer to add an outstanding Supply Chain Director to their team in Indiana. The Supply Chain Director will lead a multi-site Supply Chain team. This leader will create strategies for continuous improvement in supply management, cost control, material planning and control, plus lead the integration of additional supply chain elements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ownership of supply chain, including planning, inventory, sourcing, purchasing, inbound/outbound logistics (including freight costs, tariffs, global tracking)
• Develop a highly effective team through interviewing, selection, development, mentoring
• Create and oversee the global commodity and supply chain strategies
• Develop the Supply Chain and Sourcing policy plan to support the business
• Create and implement standards and metrics for measuring results and supplier performance
• Deliver year over year material cost productivity improvement
• Collaboratively develop vision, strategy and roadmap for future Supply Chain

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, M.B.A. preferred.
• 8+ years supply chain experience in global manufacturing or similar company
• 5+ years of supply chain leadership in global manufacturing or similar company
• Excellent financial acumen especially as related to sourcing and supply chain
• Significant experience with technology and software solutions in world class environments. Competency in at least one Enterprise Software brand. (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc).
• Experience with supplier integration techniques and processes. In-depth materials management expertise with quantifiable successes in customer service, inventory, and cost
