Placements24 is seeking a proactive Supply Chain Coordinator in East London, SA to manage daily supply chain activities, including order processing, inventory control and logistics planning, while liaising with suppliers, carriers, and warehouse staff to ensure timely delivery.

You will monitor stock levels, track shipments, support procurement with admin tasks, and seek process improvements to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, or coordination role.
• Familiarity with inventory management principles and logistics operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; ERP/WMS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily supply chain activities, including order processing, inventory management, and logistics planning.
• Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and warehouse staff to ensure timely delivery and smooth transit of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to maintain optimal stock, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.
• Track shipments and provide updates to internal stakeholders and customers as needed.
• Assist in the management of supplier relationships and performance evaluation.
• Process purchase orders and ensure accuracy of shipping documentation.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in supply chain processes and operational efficiency.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, inventory, or supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Support the procurement team with administrative tasks and data management related to the supply chain.
