Responsibilities

  • Coordinate supply chain functions using strategic processes, resource optimization, and KPI reporting with countermeasures when needed.
  • Plan procurement of materials and supplies to meet changing product demand.
  • Analyze inventory levels and determine when to place RFQs with vendors.
  • Maintain records on back orders and issue sales orders on product arrival.
  • Adjust inventory levels in the software system based on cycle counts.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers, coordinate engineering changes, and support new product launches to ensure timely production and delivery.
  • Maintain detailed inventory records of materials in warehouses and storage areas.
  • Create and issue Purchase Orders from RFQ documents.
  • Analyze current inventories and procedures; recommend efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
  • Maintain Purchase Order Planning log for container shipments from international vendors.

Job Description

We are looking for an Inventory Management Assistant to participate in all activities related to planning, procuring, and managing the materials and inventories needed to fulfill customer demand.

This position will be collaborating extensively with cross-functional management teams, internal customers, and external suppliers to identify, source, and maintain resources to accomplish company goals. The candidate must be experienced in working with teams, developing strategic cost-efficient systems, and networking with vendors and suppliers in international markets. Additionally, the candidate will consistently review logistical functions to help identify areas for improvement in order to maximize efficiency.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with coordinating supply chain functions through the use of strategic processes, resource optimization, and reporting of KPIs with appropriate analysis and implementation of countermeasures when necessary.
  • Plan and complete activities related to the sourcing and procurement of materials and supplies needed to meet changing product demand.
  • Analyze inventory levels of products to determine when Requests for Quotes need to be placed with vendors.
  • Maintain records on Back Orders and issue Sales Orders upon product arrival.
  • Adjust inventory levels in the software system according to cycle count results.
  • Function as part of a team identifying and qualifying new suppliers, coordinating engineering changes, and launching new products or product line extensions to ensure timely and orderly production and delivery flow.
  • Maintain detailed inventory records of materials and supplies located in warehouses and storage areas.
  • Create and issue Purchase Orders from Requests for Quote documents.
  • Analyze current inventories and procedures; make recommendations for efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
  • Maintain Purchase Order Planning log for container shipments from international vendors.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Inventory Management or Supply Chain in an industrial environment
  • In-depth understanding of supply chain life-cycle processes
  • Working knowledge of inventory software packages
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
