Job summary

Secant Group in Pennsylvania seeks a Supply Chain Coordinator to manage master scheduling, purchasing, inventory, and shipping. You will coordinate ERP transactions, KPI reporting, and supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery of medical device components.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 7 years related office experience.
• 5 years in related industry or regulated environment (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820).
• Hands on knowledge of purchasing and inventory documentation, planning and execution, and material control scheduling.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting general business documents and regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; strong MS Office abilities.

Responsibilities

• Proactively evaluates processes to identify continuous improvement opportunities in supply chain.
• Generates production schedules aligned with capacity.
• Coordinate sourcing of raw materials with suppliers to meet production needs.
• Place and manage purchase orders in ERP/MRP systems.
• Provide backup purchasing support during peak periods.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, shipping, and inventory documentation for audits.
• Manage inventory within assigned value streams and materials.
• Issue and de-issue materials for production orders in ERP.
• Stage production orders and return unused materials to inventory.
• Ship outgoing materials to customers and vendors; follow packing lists.
• Update Customer Care Master Data; issue sales orders and invoices.
• Identify opportunities to improve supply base performance and quality.
• Participate in new product development and supply chain planning.
• Coordinate shipping with QA, Shipping, and Accounting; assist credit references.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

What We Are Looking For

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for providing support to critical functions including master scheduling, purchasing requests and documents, vendor lists, materials management, inventory, shipping and receiving. The role will coordinate all purchasing related activity such as receiving and verifying materials and managing on-time delivery of all manufactured products.

What You Will Do

• Proactively evaluates current processes and systems to identify continuous improvement opportunities within the extended value stream and develops and implement best practices in supply chain disciplines.
• Generates and communicates production schedule in alignment with Operation & Quality team capacities.
• Interacts with customers and vendors to ensure the cost effective and timely sourcing of raw materials to meet the needs of the manufacturing operations and to maintain the most cost efficient and effective amount of raw material and work in-process inventories.
• Places and manages purchase orders in accordance with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Kanban signals, Service PO needs, and production plan goals and related planning data.
• Provides backup Purchase Request & Purchase Order support during peak periods and PTO.
• Receives all incoming materials in and moves product to quarantine once all pack lists, certificates, and any supporting documentation for QC to perform required incoming inspection are scanned into the system.
• Maintains accurate purchasing, shipping, and inventory documentation in preparation for Customer or Regulatory Body audits.
• Manages the assigned value streams including the management of inventory
• Responsible for issuing & de-issuing material in ERP System for Production orders.
• Responsible for physically staging all production orders for Operations and returning all unused raw materials back into inventory.
• Ships all outgoing materials to customers and vendors. Execute all shipping instructions and pack lists.
• Performs Master Data updates for Customer Care Master Data (Customer creation, Customer info data input, etc.)
• Issue Sales Orders and Invoices to Customers
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in the supply base by identifying performance or quality issues within the respective value stream's supply base.
• Participates in the new product development process and supports supply chain planning activities.
• Coordinates shipping activities including interfacing with Quality Assurance, Shipping and Accounting.
• Assists in the credit reference process including providing clients with credit reference documentation and ensuring timely completion.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 7 years' related experience in an office environment.
• 5 years of experience in a related industry or regulated environment (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820).
• Understands packaging related to manufacturing processes
• Hands on knowledge of purchasing and inventory document management systems, planning and executions, supply chain management practices, bills of material, and knowledge of material control scheduling.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Considerable knowledge of the Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to use creativity to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to get along well with others and work in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to independently prioritize and execute activities and responsibilities with limited direction.
• Organized and detail oriented.
