Job description

Kuva, a subsidiary of Sensirion Connected Solutions (SCS), is a technology company focused on helping industrial customers monitor and reduce emissions through innovative sensing and imaging solutions. As part of the Sensirion Group, we combine startup agility with the strength and expertise of a global sensor technology leader.

Job Overview

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing our end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient flow of materials, products, and information from suppliers through to customers. This role manages procurement, inventory, logistics, production planning, and ERP administration while driving continuous improvement across supply chain processes. This role will oversee one direct report, the Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist.

As a key member of the operations team, the Supply Chain Manager works cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Finance, and Sales to support business growth, improve operational performance, and ensure a reliable customer experience. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution and is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable processes in a dynamic, growing environment.

What This Role Is Really Like

This is not a desk-only role. You will spend time receiving pallets at the dock, visiting off-site inventory locations, and digging into Fishbowl configuration, as well as negotiating vendor contracts and presenting KPIs to leadership. The right person is equally comfortable with operational detail and systems thinking, takes pride in clean data, and wants to build processes, not just follow them.

Job Profile
  • Own all vendor relationships — domestic and international — including contract negotiation, commercial terms, performance management, and master data setup in ERP system (Fishbowl)
  • Purchase all manufactured parts (approximately 160 active part numbers), complex subassemblies, and third-party OEM products while executing the full purchasing cycle, including RFQs, quote evaluation, approvals, and purchase order issuance.
  • Oversee receiving operations at the loading dock: physical receipt of pallets, parts counts, incoming inspections, and accurate ERP data entry
Planning
  • Develop and maintain the manufacturing plan, parts purchasing plan, and finished OEM goods purchasing plan based on the recurring sales forecast
  • Reconcile demand forecasts with production capacity, parts availability, and finished goods inventory to identify risks and gaps early
  • Create and manage work orders, factory orders, and transfer orders in Fishbowl to support production schedules, while maintaining BOM accuracy across active and in-development products in collaboration with Engineering.
Inventory Management
  • Own all aspects of inventory accuracy: cycle counts, reconciliations, and monthly closing processes. Work closely with the finance department on monthly closing.
  • Manage all off-site inventory locations, including regular on-site visits for training and spot counts (Midland, Calgary, and key component suppliers)
  • Document and track scrap and yield loss to support cost reporting and quality improvement
  • Manage end-of-life processes for components and products: supplier notifications, inventory disposition, and BOM updates
Logistics
  • Manage all outbound and reverse logistics from the production site to the company warehouse
  • Manage all outbound and reverse customer shipments, including international freight, import / export compliance and special-requirements shipments (e.g., battery regulations)
  • Review and validate tariff classifications (HS codes); manage tariff reimbursement processes
  • Maintain shipping insurance coverage; update as product mix and volumes change
  • Manage contracts and negotiations with shipping providers to ensure adequate delivery quality and timelines while ensuring costs are optimized
  • Lead improvement of packaging design and barcode labeling strategy to support traceability and operational efficiency
Systems: Fishbowl & SAP
  • Own the Fishbowl SCM system: drive ongoing setup improvement, maintain data integrity, and act as the primary system administrator
  • Train all users (including offsite) on correct Fishbowl processes for purchasing, receiving, inventory, and order management
  • Manage and improve the integration between Fishbowl and Sensirion's corporate SAP system, ensuring data consistency and process alignment
People & Reporting
  • Directly manage and develop the Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist: set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and delegate effectively
  • Report supply chain performance metrics to Operations leadership (on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, purchase price variance, freight spend)
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Sensirion corporate teams to align supply chain activities, forecasting, SAP integration, and global supply chain initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain a time tracking system across the organization to support government grant claims and internal reporting
Who you are
  • You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt effectively to changing business needs.
  • You have a strategic mindset with the ability to develop, improve, and implement scalable processes.
  • You build strong relationships across teams and suppliers while balancing hands-on operational work with long-term planning and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
  • 4–7 years in supply chain, purchasing, or operations in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on ERP ownership experience — Fishbowl preferred; must be comfortable as system administrator and trainer
  • International shipping and customs/tariff experience, including HS code classification
  • Experience with BOMs, work orders, and production planning in a discrete manufacturing context
  • Experience working across multiple physical locations and legal entities
  • Physical warehousing and receiving experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
  • Experience working within or alongside SAP environments (integration, data exchange)
  • Proven ability to manage or develop at least one direct report
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations for battery shipments
  • Experience with tariff reimbursement programs (e.g., duty drawback)
  • Familiarity with barcode and labeling systems for warehouse traceability
  • Experience in a subsidiary or business unit that integrates with a corporate ERP
Why Join Us
  • Collaborative, team-based approach working with the best and brightest in the sensor space.
  • Deliver top performance while working towards making a better world.
  • Innovative, honest culture with direct communication across all levels of the company.
  • Embrace the Sensi Spirit Culture with excellent benefits and work-life harmony.
  • Together, we make the world better. Contribute your ideas, make a difference and take ownership.
  • Performance-based bonus with the option to participate in Sensirion's success through company shares
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, personal days, sick time, birthday leave, and parental leave
