Job summary

Alloy Fasteners, Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator who can turn customer requests into accurate quotes. You will learn our fastener products and vendors, and you will work closely with Sales, Operations and Purchasing.

In this role you will build quotes from sheets, review customer requirements with the sales team, research vendors, and keep quote records in our cloud system as you grow with the job.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail to catch errors before they reach a customer.
• Strong math skills for costs, margins, conversions and pricing calculations.
• Office, sourcing, and/or purchasing experience is helpful.
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills are required.
• A fast learner who can pick up technical product details and new systems.
• Organized and reliable with good time management.
• Flexible mindset to adapt when priorities change.
• Education: high school diploma and 2 years of college or experience.

Responsibilities

• Build accurate quotes: take quote sheets from Sales and determine the full cost of goods, including freight and other steps in the quoting process.
• Learn our products and vendors: become the in-house expert on fastener products and suppliers.
• Work closely with Sales: check prints, specifications and customer requirements with the sales team so every quote is right the first time.
• Review vendors: research new vendors and review approved ones on product quality, delivery times and pricing.
• Know the numbers: learn our internal computer system and how it ties to inventory and cost.
• Work with leadership: collaborate with the VP of Operations and the Import Purchaser on sourcing decisions.
• Keep quote records: maintain completed quote sheets and save them to our cloud database.
• Grow with the role: take on new duties as you build your skills.

As our Supply Chain Coordinator, you will report to the Operations Manager. You will turn customer requests into accurate quotes we can win. You'll learn our fastener products and our import and domestic vendors, and work closely with Sales, Operations, and Purchasing.

What You'll Do

• Build accurate quotes: take quote sheets from Sales and determine the full cost of goods, including freight, secondary operations, and every other step in the quoting process.
• Learn our products and vendors: become our in-house expert on our fastener products and our import and domestic suppliers.
• Work closely with Sales: check prints, specifications and customer requirements with the sales team so every quote is right the first time.
• Review vendors: research new vendors and review approved ones on product quality, delivery times and pricing.
• Know the numbers: learn our internal computer system and how it ties to inventory and cost.
• Work with leadership: work with the V.P. of Operations and the Import Purchaser on sourcing decisions.
• Keep quote records: maintain completed quote sheets, and scan and save them to our cloud database.
• Grow with the role: take on new duties as you build your skills.
