Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA invites Master’s students to join our Global Supply Chain internship for 12 weeks this summer.

You will support Supplier Account Managers, Procurement/Materials Managers, and Supply Chain Analytics, including RFQs, supplier profiles, and cost analysis. We seek candidates pursuing a Master’s in Supply Chain Management with a 3.0+ GPA, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and data analytics ability.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related major.
• GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
• Ability to problem-solve creatively and analytically.
• Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent listening, writing, quantitative, qualitative and oral communication skills.
• Data analytics skills (e.g. advanced Excel, working with multiple data sets).
• Desire for continuous learning and improvement.
• Flexible and adaptable mindset in a results-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Completing supplier RFQs and related documentation.
• Preparing supplier profiles for management review.
• Performing part analytics to assign items to commodity families.
• Interacting with suppliers to explore cost reduction opportunities.
• Supporting Supplier Account Managers with meetings, reviews, and communications.
• Resolving PO invoice and receipt discrepancies with accounts payable.
• Providing material updates to factory stakeholders and leadership.
