Job summary

Applied Materials invites interns to join the Global Supply Chain team for a 12-week summer program in Santa Clara, CA. Qualifications

• Student must be pursuing a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related major
• GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale preferred
• Ability to problem-solve creatively and analytically
• Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
• Excellent listening, writing, quantitative, qualitative and oral communication skills
• Data analytics skills (e.g., advanced Excel, working with multiple data sets)
• Desire for continuous learning and improvement
• Flexible and adaptable mindset who thrives in a results-driven culture

Responsibilities

• Support Supplier Account Managers, Procurement/Materials Managers, and Supply Chain Analytics
• Assist with RFQs, supplier communications, and cost reduction opportunities
• Contribute to MRP and spend analytics for optimization
• Prepare supplier profiles and participate in supplier negotiations and meetings
• Support Buyer functions and PO processing per MRP plans
• Assist with supplier performance tracking and reporting
• Help resolve Accounts Payable issues related to POs and invoices
