Fastenal Co. in Allentown, PA is seeking a Full-time Supply Chain Associate to manage branch inventory and support procurement, sourcing, and quoting for customer needs. The role is based at 7036 Snowdrift Rd, Allentown, PA 18106 and may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding.

You will work with a team in a fast-paced environment, performing deliveries when required and contributing to branch success through strong organizational, math, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Possess a current full valid driver's license and meet driving record requirements.
• Pursuing or hold a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing or related field, or have customer service or industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude and attention to detail.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Able to lift, slide, carry and lower packages 25-50 lbs, up to 75 lbs.
• Pass drug screen (US, Puerto Rico, Guam).
• Pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels.
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management.
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product.
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.
• Supporting accounts receivable activities.
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary.
• Performing other duties to ensure branch success.
