Job summary

Fastenal is seeking a full-time Supply Chain Associate in Soldotna, AK to manage branch inventory, procurement, and customer-driven fulfillment. This role supports quoting, sourcing, and accounts receivable activities to meet customer needs and drive branch success.

The position provides on-the-job training with potential flexible scheduling after onboarding and performance milestones, aligned with Fastenal’s values of ambition, integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older and valid driver’s license; ability to meet driving requirements
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR have customer service or industry related work experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficient computer skills
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
