Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate at our York, PA branch. You will manage inventory, support procurement, and help tailor quotes to customer needs while maintaining strong service levels.

The role offers a hands-on learning path in a fast-moving environment, with up to 28 hours per week and shifts that include weekdays. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to branch success.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• Current driverlicense with vehicle use permitted
• Degree in Business / Supply Chain / Operations / Management or related field OR customer service/industry experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Motivated, self-directed and customer-service oriented
• Strong math aptitude and attention to detail
• Strong organization and prioritization abilities
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Adherence to company core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Ability to lift 25lbs-50lbs up to 75lbs and pass drug screen where applicable

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions including purchase orders and backorders
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Performing other duties to ensure branch success
