Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Full-time Supply Chain Associate at our Reading, PA branch. You will manage inventory, process procurement and backorders, quote prices, and source products to meet customer needs.

You may deliver with a company vehicle and support AR activities as part of branch operations. On-the-job training will be provided, with a potential flexible schedule after onboarding and performance goals are met.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license in US with acceptable driving record
• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR relevant work experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs, up to 75lbs

OVERVIEW

Embark on a dynamic journey as a Full-time Supply Chain Associate, where every day offers a new opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of supply chain excellence. In addition to managing inventory, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting business-to-business operations by administering procurement, sourcing, and quoting functions that seamlessly meet the needs of our customers and drive the success of their business. This position is for our branch located at 170 Corporate Dr, Reading, PA 19605. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• o Managing branch inventory levels

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• o 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• o Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field of study OR have customer service or industry related work experience
• o Excellent written and oral communication skills
