Job summary

I. Rice & Company, Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to support purchasing, inventory, and warehousing operations at our Philadelphia facility. You will coordinate orders with suppliers, track material flow, and help maintain accurate records in our ERP/database.

The ideal candidate has solid MS Office skills, a background in supply chain or procurement, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following GMPs and contributing to team goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication via in-person, phone and email.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Stable work history.
  • Must follow GMPs.
  • Ability to work in a team and individually with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate orders and purchases of raw materials with suppliers.
  • Assist with warehouse control and organization tasks.
  • Manage periodic physical inventory and reconcile records in our database.
  • Monitor raw material usage to meet production schedules.
  • Research and reconcile inventory variances.
  • Assist onboarding of new suppliers and materials, including GMP documentation.
  • Support cross-functional team members to meet deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Supply Chain Associate supports purchasing, supply chain, and warehousing operations at our facility. This role is responsible for coordinating orders with vendors, managing inventory, assisting with warehouse control tasks, and completing the associated recordkeeping. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in administrative systems, has strong supplier and warehouse management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Job And Duties
  • Coordinates orders and purchases of raw materials with various suppliers
  • Assists with warehouse control and organization tasks
  • Manages periodic physical inventory of raw materials and performs reconciliation of the inventory in our database
  • Monitors raw material usage and identifies needs to meet production schedules
  • Researches and reconciles raw material inventory variances
  • Assists with on-boarding new suppliers and materials, including the gathering of appropriate documentation related to food safety regulations
  • Supports cross-functional team members in order to meet deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
