Job summary

Sea Machines Robotics is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Associate to support daily purchasing, inventory management, and material planning. The role involves processing purchase orders, obtaining supplier quotes, and tracking inbound and outbound shipments to ensure material availability.

The position requires 1–3 years in purchasing or supply chain, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Excel/Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day purchasing, inventory management, material planning, and supplier coordination activities.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, request supplier quotes, and compare pricing, lead times, and availability.
  • Follow up with suppliers on order acknowledgments, delivery dates, backorders, and overdue materials.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, part, pricing, inventory, and purchasing records in the company’s systems.
  • Track open purchase orders and communicate material shortages, supplier delays, and schedule risks.
  • Work closely with Logistics Operations to help track inbound and outbound shipments and communicate shipment status to internal teams.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, finance, and other internal teams to confirm material requirements and resolve purchasing or inventory discrepancies.
  • Support inventory replenishment, supplier performance tracking, purchasing reports, cost-control efforts, and supply chain improvement activities.

  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using an ERP, MRP,purchasing, or inventory management system is preferred.
