Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronic Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Supply Chain Assistant to support our Planning team in Manatí, Puerto Rico. You will generate batch sheets, manage material availability, and maintain SAP data to ensure efficient production planning and execution.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in manufacturing supply chain, strong English/Spanish communication, and proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, or inventory control within manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Generate and release batch sheets and process orders per schedules and priorities.
• Manage batch documentation and assign lot numbers in SAP following procedures.
• Verify material availability and identify shortages impacting plans.
• Communicate shortages to schedulers and stakeholders.
• Support experimental and scale-up production lots with required documentation.
• Participate in daily planning meetings on availability, quality, retesting, and priorities.
• Assist in timely release of production orders to prevent delays.
• Investigate and resolve batch sheet planning discrepancies.

MacDermid Alpha Electronic Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Temporary Supply Chain Assistant to support our Supply Chain Planning team in Manatí, Puerto Rico.

This role is responsible for generating and releasing batch sheets for production, coordinating material availability, supporting inventory management activities, and maintaining accurate data within SAP and other business systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working cross-functionally to ensure efficient production planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and release batch sheets and process orders based on manufacturing schedules and production priorities.
• Retrieve and manage batch documentation using company systems and applicable procedures.
• Assign lot numbers and allocate raw materials in SAP following established inventory management guidelines.
• Verify material availability for scheduled production and identify shortages that may impact manufacturing plans.
• Communicate material shortages and planning concerns to schedulers and key stakeholders.
• Support the coordination of experimental and scale-up production lots, ensuring all required documentation and actions are completed.
• Participate in daily planning meetings to address material availability, quality issues, retesting requirements, and production priorities.
• Monitor and support the timely release of production orders to prevent delays affecting customer orders.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to returned batch sheets and planning discrepancies.
• Validate adjusted recipes and documentation before batch release when required.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with document updates and change requests.
• Maintain accurate records and perform data entry in SAP and Excel to support planning metrics and inventory analysis reports.
• Support inventory-related activities, including non-productive inventory analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure supply continuity and operational efficiency.
• Adhere to all company safety, quality, environmental, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics, Inventory Control, or similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in chemical, electronics, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industries.
• Working knowledge of production planning and inventory management processes.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
