Job summary

Altec is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst Internship at its Midwest Facility in St. Joseph, MO. You will support supplier scorecards, documentation, and cost-saving projects while collaborating with engineering and production teams.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Bachelor's in business, preferably in Supply Chain or Operations Management, and is in their 3rd or 4th year, with a willingness to work year-round. Prior Om recruitment event interactions are a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business required.
• Entering 3rd or 4th year highly preferred.
• Ability to work year-round highly preferred.
• Prior interaction with Altec team at a recruitment event highly preferred.
• Majors preferred: Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain supplier performance scorecards evaluating quality, delivery and cost.
• Maintain supplier certification documents and assist in evaluating potential suppliers.
• Maintain supplier records for governmental programs related to small business and diversity spend.
• Work with engineering and production teams on cost-saving activities.
• Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives and Kaizen activities.
• Assist with Accounts payable projects.
• Maintain accurate material pricing.
• Procure components for assembly lines and expedite parts as needed.
• Manage inventory levels and complete projects to ensure components are on hand.
• Initiate cost savings opportunities with suppliers.
• Handle any other special projects as needed.
