Pay Range: Starting at $68,000 and up, based on experience
Summary: This role serves as a key contributor to our team's mission by conducting in-depth analysis of supply chain planning activities, demand forecasting, inventory management, and production scheduling to support strategic decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in planning and data analysis tools, and a passion for delivering insights that drive proactive planning strategies.
The Impact You'll Make
- Data Analysis and Insights: Apply advanced analytical techniques to evaluate planning data, including demand forecasts, inventory levels, production schedules, and supply chain metrics, to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Planning Performance Metrics: Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor planning performance, track inventory turnover, measure forecast accuracy, and identify areas for improvement.
- Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with Demand Planners to analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer demand patterns to improve forecast accuracy, supporting inventory and production planning.
- Inventory Optimization: Assess inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock availability to recommend strategies that minimize excess inventory, reduce stockouts, and improve working capital efficiency.
- Production Planning Support: Provide analytical support for production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation to ensure alignment with demand forecasts and operational goals.
- Planning Process Optimization: Work with cross-functional teams to identify workflow inefficiencies, streamline processes, and implement best practices.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for automation, system enhancements, and innovation within planning functions to boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with supply chain, procurement, operations, and finance teams to gather requirements, share insights, and support strategic initiatives.
- S&OP & S&IOP Leadership: Lead metrics development for Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (S&IOP) processes to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Research, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or data analytics.
- Proficiency in planning and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SAP, Epicor).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Understanding of supply chain principles, demand forecasting, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
- Supply chain planning or data analytics certification is a plus.
