Join a growing, multi-site food producer that operates its own production and warehousing and also works with third-party logistics partners. Private equity investment is funding growth, and the company is adding analytical talent to its supply chain team.
This is a launch role for someone early in a supply chain career. You will keep product moving between sites and partner warehouses, keep inventory records accurate, and use data to show where the operation can improve. You will work closely with warehouse, planning, quality, and logistics teams and get direct exposure to senior operations leaders.
*PLEASE NOTE:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
- This is an Monday-Friday onsite position and relocation assistance and travel expense assistance for interviews will not be provided.
What You’ll Do:
Keep product flowing across the network
- Schedule and track material movements between company sites, including ingredients, packaging, and finished product, so that every shipment arrives on time and is fully documented.
- Decide how finished inventory is distributed among locations, weighing customer demand, on-hand stock, and available space.
- Coordinate shipments to outside warehouse partners and make sure their receiving and timing requirements are met.
- Raise delays, shortages, and other exceptions early, and work them through to resolution with the right people. This includes perishable and temperature-controlled loads.
Protect inventory integrity
- Own daily inventory transactions, including adjustments and reconciliation of what is on the shelf against what is in the system.
- Run cycle counts and support periodic physical inventories and period-end close.
- Track down missing or misplaced product, then identify the root cause so the problem doesn't recur.
- Audit how product is stored and rotated (location assignments, put-away, first-expired-first-out, lot and date coding) and work with the warehouse to close gaps.
- Keep lot-level records traceable to support food safety requirements and recall readiness, and help reduce damage, expiration, and shrink.
- Collect and analyze inventory and logistics data to identify trends and problem areas.
- Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards on inventory accuracy, shipment performance, and distribution decisions.
- Bring practical recommendations to leadership that improve efficiency and reduce cost.
What You Bring:
Required
- A bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, logistics, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, inventory, logistics, or warehouse operations. Relevant internships and co-ops count.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions, and comfort working with large data sets.
- Sharp attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-moving plant environment.
- Clear communication and a collaborative style with peers, other sites, and outside partners.
- Willingness to work on-site, including regular time on the warehouse and production floor, which may include refrigerated or freezer areas.
Nice to have
- Internship or work experience in food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods.
- Hands-on exposure to a WMS or ERP system.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, or similar reporting tools.
- Familiarity with food safety fundamentals such as GMPs, HACCP, and lot traceability.
Why This Role
- Real ownership early. Your analysis feeds the decisions that move product across the network.
- Broad exposure. You'll work across inventory control, distribution, 3PL management, and food safety in one seat.
