Job summary

Mount Franklin Foods is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Analyst – MRP Buyer to coordinate replenishment of raw materials and optimize flow within plant constraints. You will work with procurement to secure materials for work orders and help minimize storage costs and scrap while maintaining service levels.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–4 years in production planning, with strong ERP/MRP knowledge and Excel proficiency. APICS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or manufacturing related field is highly desirable.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in production planning.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong familiarity with ERP and MRP systems.
  • Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills with the ability to assess trends and statistical data/reports.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • APICS certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, publish MRPs and manage orders to meet customer requirements.
  • Partner with production planning and other departments to ensure continuity and cost control.
  • Track KPIs such as Inventory vs goal, service level, and SLOB.
  • Attend production and project meetings to drive initiatives and reporting.
  • Understand inventory policies to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize costs.
  • Perform analytical forecast reviews and manage dashboards.
  • Provide forecasts and supply-demand indicators monthly to vendors and customers.
  • Generate shortage reports and present production adjustments to the planning team.
  • Support new product launches and ensure initial production success.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and report exceptions.
  • Maintain high standards for quality, safety and compliance with food safety rules.

Summary of Job

The Supply Chain Analyst – MRP Buyer Responsible for coordination and execution of all activities related to the replenishment of raw materials. This role is an integral part of a team which optimizes the flow of materials, while considering the plant’s warehouse capacity and inventory targets in order to eliminate potential disruptions in the storage, storage costs and avoiding material scrap (SLOB). This Supply Chain Analyst will be using multiple tools and will be working alongside procurement to ensure all needed materials are available to execute work orders successfully.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Execute the development, maintenance, communication, and publication of the Materials Requirements Plans (MRP), including placing orders, confirming deliveries, provide priorities, etc. to ensure that customer requirements are met.
  • Partner with production planning and other departments to ensure business continuity, service, and cost management.
  • Track and provide updates on assigned key performance metrics (KPIs) like Inventory vs goal, service level, production down time and SLOB (Slow and obsolete).
  • Attend production/project meetings to help drive initiatives and reporting.
  • Understand inventory policies and execution with the goal of maximizing customer satisfaction and minimizing costs.
  • Analytical forecast reviews and dashboards management.
  • Provide forecasts and supply demand indicators to vendors and customers on a monthly basis.
  • Generate shortage report, update data, and present to planning team for production adjustments.
  • Participate in new product launches to ensure success of initial production runs.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with other departments within the organization to build strong relationships and report exceptions that can impact organizational goals and objectives.
  • Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
