Job summary

Jabil in Florence, SC is seeking a quality inspector to perform complex inspection procedures on circuit boards and assemblies to ensure conformance to quality standards before shipment and at final production stages.

The role requires applying electrical principles, selecting inspection methods, and training others in quality control processes; you will support LPA, MRB, QRQC meetings and supplier investigations as part of the manufacturing team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform complex inspection procedures on circuit boards and assemblies to ensure quality levels meet standards.
• Support LPA inspections to ensure tools and resources comply with standards at IQC stations.
• Participate in QRQC meetings to address material issues affecting manufacturing.
• Attend CAC meetings and MRB processes for material issue reviews and defect investigations.
• Review and approve travelers for defective materials and conduct vendor notifications as needed.
• Apply knowledge of electrical principles to pass/fail inspected parts or assemblies.
• Train other employees in Quality Control processes and procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs complex inspection procedures on all types of circuit boards (medium to large, complex double-sided) and assemblies to ensure quality levels are met at pre-ship and at the final stages of production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Layered Process Assessment (LPA’s) performed by the inspectors to ensure required tools and resources comply with standard at IQC stations.
• Support (CAC) meetings to follow up on any material issue or supplier investigation impacting the manufacturing process.
• Support IC receiving team with any material condition or investigation due to defective material detected during receiving process.
• Attend QRQC meetings to address ongoing material issues impacting manufacturing process.
• Support ongoing Supplier investigation as per Supplier Corrective Actions process.
• Review and approve travelers created for defective materials as part of MRB process.
• Perform/follow up Visual, Functional and Dimensional material inspections to ensure conformance with quality standards.
• Perform vendor notification for any defective condition or issue related to the materials.
• Selects and reads appropriate documentation from a broad range of reference materials.
• Selects inspection method (such as first article checks, sampling, or 100% inspection).
• Applies knowledge of electrical principles and interpretation of Jabil Quality Control Standards in determining pass/fail of inspected part or assembly.
• Trains other employees in Quality Control processes and procedures.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
