Job summary

Jabil is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to serve as the technical focal point for inspection plans and supplier quality issues on the production floor. You will guide Receiving Inspection, set IQC levels, and drive CAPA activities with suppliers to ensure Dock-to-Stock readiness.

The role requires at least 2 years in quality, an associate degree preferred, and SAP Receiving Inspection familiarity. On-site posting in Florence, KY offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree preferred; minimum of 2 years in Quality
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Basic PC skills required, SAP Receiving Inspection knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as the focal person for commodity related quality and functional issues affecting components for manufacturing
• Ensure timely resolution of production critical supplier issues
• Act as the point of contact for Inspection Plans and Methods for Receiving Inspection
• Determine IQC inspection plans and levels and adjust based on performance and impact to quality
• Support MRB process to confirm supplier-related issues and track corrective actions

Technician will assign appropriate inspection plans and document issues with supplier parts for the Supplier Quality Engineers to work to closure with the suppliers through the CAPA process.What will you do?Serve as the focal person for commodity related quality and functional issues that stem from components being purchased for manufacturing.Ensure that all production critical supplier issues are resolved in a timely mannerServe as the point of contact for Inspection Plans and Inspection Methods, and provide guidance to Receiving Inspection team.Determine IQC inspection plans and levels. Adjust levels, based on 6 month monitoring performance, and impact to improve quality at point of use on the production floor.Monitor and drive PPM issues with the supply base in addition to helping them achieve “Dock to Stock” certified with JabilAnswer supplier related Jira questions to customer established time targetsProactively communicate information or issues that may impact the productionImplement holds and purges based on customer requestsAdhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.Comply and follow all procedures within the company’s security policy.Part of the MRB process to confirm issues as supplier related as required.Ensure control build process and vendor rework process is tracked appropriately in traceability systems.How will you get here?Education and ExperienceAssociate’s Degree Preferred.
