Responsibilities

  • Perform/follow up visual, functional and dimensional inspections to ensure conformance.
  • Select inspection methods (first article checks, sampling, or 100% inspection).
  • Apply electrical principles and QC standards to determine pass/fail of parts/assemblies.
  • Train other employees in QC processes and procedures.
  • Support LPA inspections, CAC meetings, MRB processes, and supplier-related investigations.
  • Review and approve travelers for defective materials and follow up on issues.

Job description

Job Summary

Performs complex inspection procedures on all types of circuit boards (medium to large, complex double-sided) and assemblies to ensure quality levels are met at pre-ship and at the final stages of production.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Support the Layered Process Assessment (LPA’s) performed by the inspectors to ensure required tools and resources comply with standard at IQC stations.
  • Support (CAC) meetings to follow up on any material issue or supplier investigation impacting the manufacturing process.
  • Support IC receiving team with any material condition or investigation due to defective material detected during receiving process.
  • Attend QRQC meetings to address ongoing material issues impacting manufacturing process.
  • Support ongoing Supplier investigation as per Supplier Corrective Actions process.
  • Review and approve travelers created for defective materials as part of MRB process.
  • Perform/follow up Visual, Functional and Dimensional material inspections to ensure conformance with quality standards.
  • Perform vendor notification for any defective condition or issue related to the materials.
  • Selects and reads appropriate documentation from a broad range of reference materials.
  • Selects inspection method (such as first article checks, sampling, or 100% inspection).
  • Applies knowledge of electrical principles and interpretation of Jabil Quality Control Standards in determining pass/fail of inspected part or assembly.
  • Trains other employees in Quality Control processes and procedures.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
