Job summary

Moog Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to evaluate supplier performance and drive cost, cycle time improvements for supplied parts and services.

You will guide activities across QA, sourcing and manufacturing, performing NC/CA management, on-site supplier audits, and development of containment actions to ensure Moog requirements are met. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical Discipline with 3+ years of technical quality experience.
• 3 years experience including inspection planning, supplier evaluations and corrective actions.
• Experience with measurement equipment such as surface plates, height gages, micro height, gage blocks, CMM equipment, etc.
• Experience with formal problem solving and quality improvement tools such as 5-why, RCCA, 8D, DMAIC.
• AS9100 lead auditor training / certification is advantageous.
• This position requires a full physical including bloodwork and pulmonary function testing.
• Must have the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Evaluate supplier performance and take actions to improve quality with other functions.
• Independently manage NCs/CAs for assigned suppliers, including 8D management for supplier-caused NOEs to Moog customers.
• Independently manage ASL for assigned commodities/suppliers, conducting periodic assessments and on-site audits as needed.
• Ensure Moog requirements are clearly articulated, understood, and complied with by suppliers.
• Support supplier evaluation, selection, recovery, and performance improvement efforts as directed by the site or Supply Chain.
• Perform source inspection/verification tasks when required.
