Job summary

Moog is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to act as the primary quality liaison with suppliers, ensuring materials meet quality and regulatory requirements. Onsite in Mineral Wells, TX, reporting to the Quality Director.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least three years in a manufacturing quality role, with experience in audits, corrective actions, and nonconformance resolution. AS9100 auditor training preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of three years in a manufacturing quality role.
• Experience working in a team-based manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of quality engineering, quality assurance, and inspection methodologies.
• Experience with supplier quality management, audits, corrective actions, and nonconformance resolution.
• Basic understanding of statistical analysis and root cause investigation tools (SPC, 5 Whys, Fault Tree Analysis).

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, approving, and auditing suppliers.
• Monitoring supplier quality performance and scorecards.
• Investigating supplier-related quality issues and driving corrective actions.
• Reviewing FAI reports and qualification documentation.
• Managing supplier nonconformances and material rejections.
• Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
• Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives at supplier sites.
• Performing supplier process and quality system audits.
• Collaborating with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Maintaining supplier quality metrics and reporting performance trends.
• Ensuring compliance with quality standards, specifications, and contractual requirements.

Our Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to serve as the primary quality liaison between the company and its suppliers, ensuring purchased materials and components meet quality, regulatory, and customer requirements. You will report directly to the Quality Director and have an onsite work schedule in Mineral Wells, TX. Moog Avionics delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
