Job summary

John Deere is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to provide quality engineering support to assembly and fabrication teams in an onsite Illinois facility. You will lead containment efforts, investigate supplier quality issues, and drive corrective actions with cross-functional groups to improve both internal and customer quality.

The role requires strong root cause analysis, problem solving, and collaboration across Operations, Product Engineering, and Supply Management.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, process engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills, including corrective action development and implementation.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, influence without direct authority, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication and organization with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide supplier quality engineering support to assembly and fabrication departments.
• Lead containment activities and investigations for supplier quality issues.
• Participate in meetings reviewing quality performance and launch corrective actions to improve internal and external quality.
• Partner with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Management, Product Engineering, and inspectors to improve product quality and reduce defects.
