Job summary

John Deere in Moline, IL is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Row Line assembly area with tactical quality engineering. You will lead containment activities, investigate quality issues, and drive corrective actions to improve internal and external quality, aligning with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong root cause analysis, problem solving, and collaboration, with proficient use of data tools such as PowerBI and programming where applicable, in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, process engineering, or related technical field.
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving, including corrective action development and implementation.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, influence without direct authority, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and organization; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as PowerBI or programming.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tactical quality engineering support for our Row Line assembly department in Moline, IL.
  • Lead containment activities and investigations for possible quality issues.
  • Launch corrective actions to improve internal (factory) and external (customer) quality.
  • Participate in quality improvement meetings to support factory and customer concerns; verify and improve process controls.
