Job summary

ON.energy is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier activities for battery energy storage systems across procurement, factory testing, delivery and installation. You will audit and evaluate suppliers, review FATs, coordinate inspections, and provide field support for batteries, inverters, transformers and switchgear.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3-7 years of supplier or product quality engineering experience in energy/manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with electrical power systems and BESS.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and quality tools (8D, PFMEA, PPAP).
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Drive supplier selection, evaluation and qualification.
• Define supplier quality processes in ISO 9001 compliance.
• Perform supplier process audits for manufacturing controls.
• Maintain Audit Planning and Reporting documentation.
• Manage supplier quality database and documents.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Review ITPs, FAT procedures, control plans.
• Participate in FATs and verify test results.
• Log and track non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Review supplier material traceability and certificates.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain on onboarding.
• Provide supplier performance feedback and quality metrics.
• Maintain complete quality documentation per project.
• Support development of quality standards and templates.
