Job summary

Carrier has an opening for a Supplier Quality Engineer in Haslet, TX. You will ensure purchased materials meet quality requirements, qualify suppliers, drive corrective actions and improve incoming quality through on-site development.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in supplier quality or quality engineering in manufacturing, AIAG certification, and the ability to provide weekend shifts and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree must be in a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of supplier quality or quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to provide direct production support, including weekend shifts and/or 24/7 on-call coverage.
• AIAG certification and related quality tools knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Qualifies new suppliers and parts through APQP, PPAP and first-article inspection.
• Drives supplier corrective actions (SCAR/8D) and verifies effectiveness.
• Conducts supplier audits and on-site process assessments.
• Monitors and improves incoming quality performance (supplier PPM, defect trends).
• Manages non-conforming material disposition, containment and recovery plans.
• Partners with Sourcing and Engineering on supplier selection and development.
• Supports supplier readiness for new-product launches.
• Maintains supplier quality documentation, control plans and records.
