Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure purchased materials meet quality standards and to drive corrective actions. You will qualify suppliers, perform first-article inspections, and lead supplier development initiatives.

Candidates should have 5+ years in quality engineering in manufacturing, AIAG certification, and willingness for on-site support, including weekends. GD&T knowledge and ISO3001/6 Sigma familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• 5+ years of supplier quality or quality engineering in manufacturing.
• AIAG certification required.
• Willingness to provide weekend/on-call production support.

Responsibilities

• Qualifies suppliers and parts using APQP/PPAP and first-article inspection.
• Drives supplier corrective actions (SCAR/8D) and verifies effectiveness.
• Conducts supplier audits and on-site process assessments.
• Monitors incoming quality, supplier PPM, and defect trends.
• Maintains supplier quality documentation and control plans.
• Collaborates with Sourcing and Engineering on supplier development.
