Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to qualify suppliers, drive corrective actions, and improve incoming quality through on-site development and structured problem-solving.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in supplier quality or quality engineering in manufacturing, with on-call weekend support and AIAG certification preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
5+ years of supplier quality or quality engineering in manufacturing.
Ability to provide direct production support including weekend/on-call coverage.
AIAG certification.
Six Sigma Green Belt and/or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor would be preferred.
Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA; control plans.
Experience conducting supplier audits and process assessments.
GD&T knowledge and quality inspection standards.

Responsibilities

Qualifies new suppliers and parts through APQP, PPAP and first-article inspection.
Drives supplier corrective actions (SCAR/8D) and verifies effectiveness.
Conducts supplier audits and on-site process assessments.
Monitors and improves incoming quality performance (supplier PPM, defects).
Manages non-conforming material disposition, containment and recovery plans.
Partners with Sourcing and Engineering on supplier selection and development.
Supports supplier readiness for new-product launches.
Maintains supplier quality documentation, control plans and records.
