Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to lead AS9100-compliant quality initiatives across defense and aerospace suppliers. You will analyze RCCA data, develop metrics, and support process validations to ensure readiness for production and certification.

The role requires collaboration across teams, on-site supplier visits, and adherence to strict regulatory requirements, including export controls and security clearances.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 1+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) and failure analysis
  • 1+ years of experience in the defense or aerospace industry
  • Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
  • 1+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance or supplier quality related roles
  • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements and qualify as a “U.S. Person”
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Subject to post-offer drug and alcohol testing when criteria are met

Responsibilities

  • Research contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for proposals, program processes, and documentation
  • Develop quality metrics and design and production certification plans
  • Analyze capability assessments to support supplier selection
  • Participate in reviews to incorporate quality attributes into product designs
  • Perform data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
  • Provide material review dispositions for non-conformances
  • Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate corrective-action effectiveness
  • Compile performance reports and statistical data to achieve specified process capability levels
  • Represent the Quality function on team activities and interpret requirements
  • Conduct capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection
  • Work on-site at suppliers across a five-state area, primarily in the St. Louis region
  • Serve as a backup for other regions as needed
  • Work under general supervision at Level 2
