Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to lead teams through the full product lifecycle, driving quality strategy and continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory and government contracting compliance.

You will coach staff, analyze data, collaborate with multiple functions, and champion corrective actions to meet schedule and safety targets. Travel up to 10% and shift flexibility are required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ year RCCA experience.
  • At least one year in a leadership role or completion of Boeing course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • U.S. Person status required for U.S. export control compliance.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required by the U.S. Government.
  • Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start required.
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
  • 1+ year of team-building, development and motivation experience preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience with DCMA and DoD contracts preferred.
  • Experience leading key process, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives preferred.
  • Completion of Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment as part of the selection process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employees performing quality inspection and technical activities across all product lifecycle phases.
  • Develop quality strategies and plans supporting new business acquisition and program execution.
  • Provide education and coaching on the Quality System.
  • Acquire and manage resources, provide quality technical management, and lead performance improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports.
  • Oversee review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility.
  • Manage, develop, and motivate employees.
  • Perform day-to-day quality assurance and process control.
  • Analyze data, review trends, and create recovery plans to resolve production issues and meet schedule and safety targets.
  • Collaborate with internal customers, suppliers, manufacturing, test, and engineering to implement corrective actions and sustainable process improvements.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Support 1st or 2nd shift and additional shifts as required.

Job description

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ year of experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross‑functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • U.S. Person status required for U.S. export control compliance
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required by the U.S. Government
  • Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start required

  • Ability to work any shift, as assigned
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (preferred)

  • Completion of the Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment as part of the selection process
