This position reports to

Global Procurement & Logistics Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the execution of supplier assessments, drive corrective and preventive actions based on supplier maturity and performance levels. You will manage operational supplier quality, both on-site and off-site, ensuring thorough execution of supplier qualification and development processes. Additionally, you will manage the supplier’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

The work model for this role is: hybrid

This position contributes to the Electrification Installation Products division in North America.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Establishing and driving strategies with plants and sourcing to improve incoming quality from the supply base and managing the supplier quality life-cycle
• Performing Supplier Quality Audits to ensure suppliers meet or exceed ABB standards
• Driving problem solving using Root Cause Analysis / 8D process
• Setting targets and driving improvements in supplier quality using metrics such as DPPM, NCRs, etc.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Minimum 3 years in Supplier or Manufacturing Quality, with experience dealing with supplier quality issues
• Preferred experience with raw materials, plastics, injection molded parts, sheet metal, fasteners, castings, and knowledge of standards like IATF 16949
• Strong communication skills in English, with problem solving and change management skills
• Must have work authorization to work in the US for ABB

While base salary depends on qualifications and experience, this position pays between $61,900 and $115,100 annually.
