More about the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer with Signify in Vietnam.

You will be responsible for:

Operational

1. Implementing supplier quality, sustainability, and development processes where applicable.
2. Setting supplier quality requirements for suppliers and products.
3. Leading and deciding on supplier qualification based on their competencies and competitiveness during audits.
4. Driving early supplier engagement in the NPI process, validating and approving the release of components, assemblies, and processes.
5. Owning the PPAP process.
6. Implementing supplier development initiatives and ensuring a safe working environment.
7. Reporting on performance and supporting business reviews at suppliers.
8. Controlling and approving changes of products and processes at suppliers using industry standards.
9. Engaging suppliers in Signify’s Sustainability Programs and ensuring ongoing compliance.

Financial

1. Compiling data and preparing rationale to ensure cost recovery in case of incidents.
2. Supporting the supplier development team in identifying and implementing savings.
3. Handling all quality-related elements in supplier contracts for cost recovery.

Customer

1. Working closely with suppliers to prevent quality incidents.
2. Resolving complaints promptly and effectively, closing complaints efficiently.

More about you

We value applicants with the following experience, skills, and competencies:

• BE/BTech in Electrical/Electronics with at least 5 years’ experience.
• Experience preferably in Lighting, Electrical, Electronic Appliances, or Automotive industries.
• Ability to implement supplier quality processes and tools effectively.
• Risk management skills with a differentiated approach.
• Capability to train suppliers on SQ tools.
• Strong understanding of relevant technology and business domains.
• Ability to assess supplier capabilities and resolve issues.
• Knowledge of sustainability and regulatory requirements for compliance.
• Ability to develop and implement improvement programs for suppliers.
• Understanding of financial implications related to quality solutions.
• Proficiency in English, Vietnamese, and Chinese.
