Job summary

Cintal, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to perform product and component quality testing, investigate supplier quality issues, and drive CAPA in a manufacturing environment in Lafayette, Indiana.

You will analyze defects, identify root causes, collaborate with engineering and suppliers, and maintain quality records and reports to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Quality Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and related quality/manufacturing experience.
• Solid experience in quality testing, root-cause analysis and CAPA processes, with knowledge of FMEA and APQP.
• Proficiency with Excel and quality management systems; strong cross-functional collaboration.

JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

• Perform quality testing and validation of products and components.
• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues.
• Analyze defects and support corrective actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers to improve quality.
• Track quality metrics and prepare reports.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and processes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Master’s degree not required.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant quality/manufacturing experience may be considered.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Quality testing and validation experience.
• Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Supplier Quality and Manufacturing Quality knowledge.
• Experience with CAPA, FMEA, APQP, and quality tools.
• Ability to analyze quality data and generate reports.
• Knowledge of quality standards and compliance processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and quality management systems.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
